Sold Matched pair of NS-10M Studio monitors in excellent condition for their age.
The crossovers are matched, with serial #165223. Woofers are matched, with serial #641050. The tweeters are not matched. Serial #s are 880605 and 422303.
This set has been disassembled, cleaned, had the cabinets touched up, reassembled, and tested. Details below:
Woofer cones are nice and white, but not perfect. There is some minor yellow staining that's visible when you're right up on them. Please see photos 20, 26, and 27. That said, they are definitely nicer than most and help make this pair shine. Tweeters look and sound great together, despite not being matching serial #s. The grilles are in near-mint condition, and the gray felt rings are matched nicely. Both tweeter gaskets are present and seated properly. The original Yamaha NS-10M Studio lettering is in excellent condition. There is one imperfection in the "A" on the right speaker. See photo 8. Cabinets are in excellent condition. We touched up a few dinged corners, re-stained as a whole, poly-coated, and waxed, but they were pretty close to begin with. You can see from the photos they look fantastic. They somehow even escaped the obligatory sticky residue from the rubber strips people typically slap on the bottom of these. That said, there are plenty of minor imperfections. Please see all the photos near the end of the listing.
