• Synthesis Type: Fully digital, multi-engine synthesizer descended from Waldorf's flagship Quantum. Five synthesis modes available per oscillator, mixable within a single patch for virtually unlimited tonal range.
• Polyphony: 16-voice polyphony; dual-timbral (split or layered mode) with up to two independent parts.
• Oscillators: 3 stereo digital oscillators per voice, each independently assignable to one of five synthesis engines:
  • Wavetable: Waldorf's modern evolution of the PPG Wave morphing technology. Supports wavetable generation from external audio and speech synthesis.
  • Waveform: Virtual analog engine with classic shapes, detuning, PWM, hard sync, FM, and ring modulation.
  • Particle: Granular engine for textures, time-stretching, and experimental sound design.
  • Resonator: Physical modeling engine capable of strings, bars, membranes, and other resonant structures.
  • Kernel: Advanced FM/modular engine with up to 6 internal operators per oscillator, supporting FM, ring modulation, and AM at audio rate. Includes macro templates and a low-level editor for deep programming. Compatible with classic FM patch imports.
• Filters: 3 digital filters per voice, fully stereo throughout the signal path:
  • Dual Filter: Two filters in series, parallel, or a variety of link modes. Lowpass, bandpass, and highpass modes with 12dB and 24dB slopes. Filter models include Waldorf Nave, Largo, and PPG 3V. Optional saturation and drive.
  • Digital Former: Third filter slot with additional processing options including comb filter, bit crusher, drive, and ring modulation, along with filter models from Waldorf Nave, Largo, and PPG.
• Modulation:
  • Modulation Matrix: 40 slots, each with one additional control amount. Sources and destinations can be used multiple times until the matrix is full. Modulation can target almost every numerical parameter in the instrument.
  • LFOs: 6 LFOs per voice, available in polyphonic and global modes, with MIDI clock sync.
  • Envelopes: 6 ADSR envelope generators per voice, freely assignable.
  • Komplex Modulator: Waldorf-exclusive hybrid LFO/envelope generator with user-drawable morphable shapes, available as an additional modulation source.
• Effects: Up to 5 effects slots per patch, editable and visualized on the color touchscreen. Available types include chorus, reverb, delay, phaser, flanger, parametric EQ, and compressor.
• Sequencer & Arpeggiator: Built-in step sequencer with up to 32 steps and multiple parameter lanes. Arpeggiator with MIDI clock sync. Both configurable from the touchscreen.
• Performance & Control:
  • 4x4 RGB-backlit pressure-sensitive pad matrix for note input, chord triggering, arpeggio and sequence launching.
  • High-resolution capacitive color touchscreen for parameter editing, visual feedback, oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Dedicated knobs and buttons for most synthesis sections with minimal menu diving. Turning any knob jumps the display to that section.
• Memory: Up to 7,000 patches storable onboard. Patches are fully compatible with the Waldorf Quantum.
• Connectivity:
  • Audio: 2 stereo audio outputs (TRS), 2 stereo audio inputs for external signal processing, and a headphone output.
  • CV/Gate: 4 CV inputs routable to the mod matrix, Gate In, Trigger In, analog Clock In and Clock Out for Eurorack and modular integration.
  • MIDI: DIN MIDI In, Out, Thru. USB MIDI device and USB MIDI host ports.
  • Storage: MicroSD card slot for patch and sample storage, plus USB host for data exchange and external MIDI devices.
• Physical Design: Solid metal chassis, rack-compatible desktop form factor. Designed and manufactured in Germany. Industrial-grade components throughout.
