For sale: Roland JP-8080 analog-modeling synthesizer / vocoder module (AKA supersaw anthem machine) in perfect working order and very good cosmetic condition. This one came to us after recently being serviced by its previous owner.
Details below:
Volume potentiometer replaced.
All pots, tact switches, and faders cleaned.
A new battery has been installed, and the synth has been reset to factory settings.
Unit passes internal diagnostics (see photo 4).
We have tested the unit thoroughly and confirmed that it is in perfect working order.
Some of the knobs show wear on the tops from normal use and age (see photos 5-8 and 20). There are also some blemishes in the finish (see the top-right corner of photo 6 and photo 21). Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.
The JP-8080 is a classic Roland analog-modeling synth and vocoder with a huge sound and a front panel that invites you to get your hands on it. The Super Saw is a natural fit for wide pads and big trance leads, while the other oscillator types take it into basses, metallic textures, and more experimental territory. With up to 10 voices, two parts for splits and layers, an arpeggiator, phrase sequencing, and Motion Control for recording knob and slider movements, there is plenty here to keep you busy. The Voice Modulator and external audio processing add another whole side to this machine, from talking synth sounds to reshaping outside sources through its filters and effects.
Sale includes the synth, IEC power cable, and free shipping to the continental US. Rack ears are not included.
