For sale: Oberheim OB-X8 desktop analog synthesizer module in perfect working order and excellent, like-new cosmetic condition. If classic Oberheim sound and hands-on programming are your thing, this one deserves a look. It's a synth for the purists, with an all-analog signal path and no onboard effects. Pairs nicely with the Chroma Console (among others) if you're wanting to add outboard effects.

This unit is in excellent, like-new cosmetic condition. It's really quite minty, but we're listing conservatively as excellent. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.

The OB-X8 brings together the sound architectures of the OB-X, OB-Xa, and OB-8 in an eight-voice desktop module. Two discrete analog oscillators per voice, SEM-style and Curtis filters, and selectable envelope responses let you explore each instrument's character or combine elements from different models. It's well suited to classic synth brass, strings, basses, and leads, with split and double modes for combining two patches and an arpeggiator for rhythmic parts. The Vintage control adds adjustable voice-to-voice variation, while the front panel keeps the main sound-shaping controls within easy reach.
