For sale: Nichicon UHE1E101MED 100µF/25V power supply filter capacitors for the Virus B and C line of synthesizers.
These are great replacements for the "infamous brown capacitor", or other sub-standard, or old power supply filter capacitors for these units This particular brand/model is known for its low-ESR and high ripple current tolerance, making it a great fit for the Virus Bs and Cs.
While these are regularly available for less from many suppliers, we are providing here for convenience.
Note: This is a mid-tier replacement job. The pads are small and very easy to burn if the work is not handled with care. Don't recommend this job for amateurs, or those who have never soldered before. Please double-check polarity during removal / install. Mistakes here can be catastrophic (IE, your main board will be toast).
Please visually inspect your main board to make sure the capacitor you are replacing is clearly marked 100µF/25V. You will likely need a flashlight and a magnifying glass. You can also photograph with your phone and zoom in to read.
