Sold: Custom MicroKorg Module with new aftermarket power supply.
We've worked on a lot of MicroKorgs over the years and have always wanted to turn one into a module. We finally ran into a good candidate and enough free time to take the plunge. This is the result. While not perfect, it came out nice, and we're very happy with it for a first attempt. Details below:
All tacts and knobs are very responsive. We chose a board that was in great shape, so no double tapping or iffy tacts here. The wood sides are stained and poly coated, so they should stand the test of time. We recommend an occasional wax to keep them looking nice. All functionality except for the pitch/mod wheel (and of course the keys) has been maintained. We would have liked to include the pitch/mod wheel, but for our first attempt at a custom build, we decided to go with aesthetics over function here. It was really tricky to line things up perfectly. While the overall look is great, it's not 100% perfect. See how the edges are slightly lifted in photos 16 and 17. The close up makes the issue look worse than it does in real life. There is some marking on the bottom plate. See photo 18.

2 ADSR envelopes: One for filter (cutoff/resonance) and one for amp (volume).
Pitch and modulation wheel functions are not present on this custom module build.
Memory: 128 programs (64 preset, 64 user) for storing patches.
Arpeggiator: 6 preset patterns (Up, Down, Alt1/Alt2, Random, Trigger) plus programmable Step Arp with adjustable range (1–4 octaves) and tempo.
Control & Interface: Compact desktop interface with all original knobs, Edit Select matrix, category selector, and LCD display for patch editing. Keyboard is not included on this custom module build.
