For sale: Korg Volca FM digital synthesizer / sequencer in excellent condition. Works perfectly. There is some minor marking on one corner (see photo 12). Includes original box. Requires 6 AA batteries or an external power supply (not included) to power up.

The original Korg Volca FM is a three-voice digital FM synthesizer that faithfully recreates the six-operator, 32-algorithm engine of the Yamaha DX7 in a compact, battery-powered format. It can load genuine DX7 SysEx patch files via MIDI In, making it fully compatible with the vast library of classic FM sounds. Editing is simplified through Korg’s hands-on interface, where the MODULATOR and CARRIER knobs adjust multiple parameters at once for intuitive real-time control. A built-in chorus effect adds stereo width, while the 16-step sequencer with motion recording, Active Step, and Pattern Chain features gives it strong performance capabilities. Though limited to 3 voices of polyphony and MIDI In only, the Volca FM (v1) remains a powerful and portable way to access authentic DX-style synthesis with modern playability.
