For sale: Korg MS2000B in good condition. This unit was in rough shape when we got it. While not perfect, we've done our best to turn it into a functional, cosmetically presentable instrument. Everything works flawlessly except for the gooseneck mic port, which does not get proper voltage. You can still use the vocoder using a traditional mic run into the inputs on the back.

Details:

This unit comes with some nice non-factory patch banks. There are a handful of factory patches still in there, but most are a lot more interesting than the factory patches.
Cleaned and tested the unit thoroughly.
All tacts and pots are nice and responsive. No double tapping or hard presses required
All buttons and knobs have been professionally whitened and are looking nice.
The wood sides have been properly cleaned, given some fresh stain, and waxed. They look nice as show in the photos, but have some minor dents here and there.
A few bends/dents in the bottom frame have been banged out & repaired. The bottom has also received a fresh coat of flat black Rustoleum enamel.
The pitch/mod wheel assembly's finish was in rough shape when received. Unable to match this color, we sanded and painted with 3 layers of flat black Rustoleum enamel. See photo 17.
There were several spots of missing finish that were touched up carefully with the same flat black enamel. While not perfect, it looks better than bare metal and has the benefit of protecting the metal from corrosion down the road. See photos 18-22.
The front panel had tape residue on it that left some imperfections in the finish once removed. This is very hard to see / photograph, but shows up in the right lighting. See photo 23.
One key has been replaced. See the C key in the middle of photo 24. It is oh so slightly whiter than the others. You probably didn't notice until reading this. That's about how it looks in real life as well.
The microphone port on the faceplate of this unit does NOT work. It does not get proper voltage for some reason. We reflowed the solder and it went from no voltage to low voltage, but it's not enough to work properly. Thus, you cannot use any gooseneck mics with this unit. You can still use a standard mic and run it through the inputs on the back to use the vocoder just fine (and at a much higher quality than the gooseneck mic anyway). It's possible this can someday be repaired, but it's not worth the risk in our opinion, so we decided to quit while we were ahead.

Sale includes the synth and original Korg power supply. Consider this a black and reasonably sharp looking Korg MS2000 for a fair price.
