For sale: E-MU Systems Proteus 2000 synthesizer sound module in excellent cosmetic condition for its age and perfect working order. This is an exceptionally clean unit with a nice, bright display, no yellowing in the plastic, a new encoder, and a new, modern power supply.

This unit has an Xtreme Lead Turbo main board installed. It is identical to the Proteus 2000 main board, but displays "Xtreme Lead" and "Turbo" during startup (see photos 3-4).
This unit is very clean overall, but not perfect. There are minor blemishes along the top edge of the faceplate (see photos 18-19). There a number of other small blemishes throughout from normal handling over the years. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.

The Proteus 2000 is a 1U, 128-voice, 32-part multitimbral sound module built around E-MU's 32MB Composer ROM. Its synthesis engine supports four-layer presets, extensive modulation, 17 filter types, dual 24-bit effects processing, six analog outputs, S/PDIF, and expansion for up to 128MB of sound ROMs.
