For sale: E-MU Holy Grail Piano ROM for the Proteus 2000 series. Passes full ROM diagnostic and amazingly includes the original box with document inserts. We've bought and sold several dozen ROMs and have never seen one with the box before. Will be shipped insured in an anti-static bag double boxed in the OG box.

Developed by Q Up Arts and E-MU over more than two years, the Holy Grail Piano ROM is a 16 MB expansion built using E-MU's proprietary Virtual Model Sampling (VMS) technology. VMS captures each individual sonic component of an acoustic piano and then reconstructs them into a highly realistic and expressive instrument for the Proteus platform.

• Key-On and Key-Off Hammer Action: Independent stereo samples capturing mechanical detail and articulation.
• Sympathetic Resonant Sustain: Natural resonant behaviors recreated through VMS component sampling.
• Sympathetic Inter-Key Resonance: Captured and modeled for authentic acoustic interaction.
• Foot Pedal Mechanics: Mechanical pedal noise components recorded and integrated.
• High Register Artifacts: Un-dampened high-key behaviors captured in stereo.
• Velocity Layers: 88 individually tuned notes per velocity layer with undetectable switch points.
• Recording Chain: Tracked using six Apogee AD1000 preamps and A/D converters with no compression, EQ, or pre-mixing.
• Imaging Stage: Natural 5.1 and 7.1 surround recordings incorporated into the VMS process.
