For sale: E-MU Proteus 2000 synthesizer sound module in good cosmetic condition and perfect working order. This one has a few more imperfections than the Proteus 2000s we usually list (priced a little lower as a result), but is still a good looking unit with no yellowing in the plastic, a new encoder, and a new, modern power supply.

Details below:

Updated to the latest OS (2.26).
Brand-new modern replacement power supply installed (see photo 14).
New encoder installed for smooth, and reliable long-term operation.
The left rear corner is dinged (see photo 15), and there is damage to the top of the faceplate from being racked (see photos 3-5). There are also a number of imperfections in the finish of the top plate, including scuffs, scratches, and other blemishes. These cosmetic issues disappear once racked. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.

The Proteus 2000 is a 1U, 128-voice, 32-part multitimbral sound module built around E-MU's 32MB Composer ROM. Its synthesis engine supports four-layer presets, extensive modulation, 17 filter types, dual 24-bit effects processing, six analog outputs, S/PDIF, and expansion for up to 128MB of sound ROMs.
