For sale: Avantone AV10-MHF drop-in replacement tweeter for the Yamaha NS-10M studio monitors. This is a standard AV10-MHF and is not the "aged" version, despite being in an aged box for safe shipping. Tweeter works perfectly and is in excellent cosmetic condition.
There are 2 very minor marks on the corner of the faceplate (see photo 4). Otherwise, in excellent condition.
NOTE: By purchasing this tweeter, you agree to create a video showing you testing and confirming operation BEFORE you do any soldering. Captain Black's Gear Emporium is not responsible for any damage caused AFTER you perform soldering. **No refunds will be given if you confirm functionality and then burn it during install, OR if you do not record this video.**
Strongly recommend you get some needle nose pliers and rubber band them around the terminal you are performing soldering on. See photo 7 for an image of this technique. This will help intercept any excess heat and keep it from ruining your tweeter during install. The tweeter pictured in photo 7 is not this tweeter. If the metal on the needle nose pliers gets too warm, stop and wait before continuing. I have installed / removed messy soldering on many NS-10 speakers using this method and have never burned any of them.
