SOLD: Access Virus TI2 Polar in excellent condition. This unit has been very well taken care of and looks fantastic overall. There are only a few minor blemishes.
Details below:
All pots and tacts work flawlessly. One double-tapping tact was replaced (this is more of an issue with QA than wear). This panel board is still young and in great shape, no need to replace any other components. The LCD display works as intended and is nice and bright with both backlights working. Keys are nice and white with no yellowing. New Energizer 2023 lithium cell battery installed. You should not need to replace the batter for ~10 years. This unit has been entirely torn down, inspected, cleaned, and re-assembled. Everything is nice and clean, inside and out. There are a handful of imperfections and minor blemishes on this unit. Of note, there are some minor blemishes near the pitch/mod wheel (see photo 26), a scratch in the S in VIRUS on the rear of the unit (see photo 25), a small blemish on the inside top edge of the left side panel (see photo 5), and 2 minor scratches on the LCD bezel that would not polish out (see photos 4 and 15). There may be another minor blemish or two. Please examine all photos carefully, as we've done our best to document the condition.
The Virus TI2 is a monster of a polyphonic, multitimbral analog modeling synth. With dual DSP processors, 64 waveforms, 100 wavetables, 2 filters, 3 LFOs, an advanced mod matrix, and a full suite of effects (including a few extras over the standard TI), the sonic possibilities are virtually endless. The TI2 offers up to 110 voices of polyphony and is 16 parts multitimbral, with 3 stereo outs, as well as audio streaming over USB via the Total Integration VST, which is an absolute thing of beauty in supported operating systems (the audio streams act like soft synths within your DAW, allowing you to EQ, send FX, or pile on plugins to create something truly unique).
Mac users, please do your homework before purchasing. The Total Integration app is not compatible with the latest versions of macOS. The app works perfectly in Windows 10 (the Total Integration is an absolute thing of beauty in Windows 10 / Cubase 15). Users report it also works fine in Windows 11, but we have not personally tested this.
