We recommend using the shortest cable possible for your setup if you intend to use the Total Integration plugin. Happy to swap in a standard 6-ft USB cable if you do not intend to use the TI plugin.

All pots and tacts work flawlessly.
The display functions perfectly with both backlights working as intended. The LCD has been polished to look its best.
New Energizer CR2032 lithium cell battery installed. The original battery was fine, but we replaced it proactively since we had the unit opened up (see photo 22).
We uncovered some minor corrosion on the inside of the faceplate during inspection. This is fairly common on these units. The corrosion was sanded down, cleaned with alcohol, and sealed with Rust-Oleum clear enamel (see photo 21). While not necessarily beautiful, this is a proper internal repair.
This unit is very clean, but not perfect. There is a scrape on the letter N in the word "TRANSPOSE" on the faceplate near the transpose buttons (see photo 5). The lower left corner of the faceplate and left wood side panel were dented and scraped when we received the unit. We reshaped the metal and wood, and touched up the area with a blended charcoal metallic we make in-house. While it's generally impossible to match the factory powder coat, we came very close (please see photos 23-25). There is also a small scuff on the bottom plate (see photo 26). We take close-ups in bright, natural lighting to ensure full disclosure.
The Virus TI2 is a monster of a polyphonic, multitimbral analog modeling synth. With dual DSP processors, 64 waveforms, 100 wavetables, 2 filters, 3 LFOs, an advanced mod matrix, and a full suite of effects, including a few extras over the standard TI, the sonic possibilities are virtually endless. The TI2 offers up to 110 voices of polyphony and is 16-part multitimbral, with 3 stereo outputs, as well as audio streaming over USB via the Total Integration VST, which is an absolute thing of beauty in supported operating systems. The audio streams appear directly within your DAW via 3 independent stereo pairs, allowing you to process individual Virus parts with EQ, compression, effects, automation, and third-party plugins as part of your normal mixing workflow. You can also use the 3 analog stereo outputs simultaneously, giving you access to a total of 6 stereo output pairs across USB and the analog outputs in Multi Mode.

Mac users, please do your homework before purchasing. The Total Integration app is not compatible with the latest versions of macOS. The app works perfectly in Windows 10. Some users report it also works fine in Windows 11, but we have not personally tested this (there are noted issues with the latest Windows 11 update that have given some users trouble).
