Sold: Access Virus TI2 Desktop in good condition. This unit was rescued from a pawn shop in Las Vegas. It had no knobs and a few other issues to sort out, but has now been fully prepared for a second life. Functionally, it's 100%, but there are some cosmetic issues.
In our opinion, The TI2 is the reigning king of polyphonic, multitimbral analog modeling synths. With 2 DSP processors, 64 waveforms, 100 wavetables, 2 filters, 3 LFOs, an advanced mod matrix, a full suite of effects (including a few extras over the standard TI) and more, the sonic possibilities are virtually endless. The TI2 has up to 110 voices of polyphony and is 16 parts multitimbral, with 3 stereo outs, as well as audio streaming over USB via the Total Integration VST, which is an absolute thing of beauty in supported operating systems (the audio streams act like soft synths within your DAW, allowing you to EQ, send FX, or pile on plugins to create unique sounds during tracking). From our POV, this speeds production along and opens up more possibilities to create something truly unique. Details:
Replaced the internal battery with a new Energizer Lithium 2032 (you shouldn't need to worry about the battery for at least 10-15 years). Upgraded the operating system to the latest version (5.1.7). Cleaned the unit thoroughly. Ā There was some corrosion manifesting around the LCD bezel. All corrosion was chemically and physically removed before applying 3 coats of Rustoleum Clear rust-blocking enamel. This is a solid repair and we don't expect any issues with this going forward. See photo 24. Ā The LCD bezel has been polished, removing some scuffs and other imperfections. It's not as good as new, but very close. Polishing clear plastic can be tricky, so we decided to quit while we were ahead. See photo 15. This unit had no knobs when we purchased. All missing knobs have been replaced with OEM soft-touch knobs from the original manufacturer. They look good / stock, but are darker than the standard TI2 knobs. There are a number of scratches and imperfections in the finish on this synth. Please examine all photos carefully. While it looks great overall, we want to make sure we fully disclose. Mac users, do your homework before you purchase. The Total Integration VST is not compatible with the latest versions of the Mac OS. The app works well in Windows 10. Users report it also works fine in Windows 11, but we have not personally verified this. We encourage users to do their research if they're not sure.
