All capacitors on the main board and panel board have been replaced with modern equivalents that were carefully selected to match the characteristics of the original caps from 20+ years ago.
All 35 tact switches have been replaced with brand-name, high-quality tact switches rated for 3 million clicks. These are soft-touch and are nearly indistinguishable from the original ALPS tacts.
The power switch has been replaced, eliminating another common failure point on the Virus desktop series.
The battery has been replaced. You should not need to replace the battery for ~10 years.
Ships with a high-quality 9V 2.0A power supply that provides more reliable operation than the original 12V 1.0A supplies these units originally shipped with. The lower voltage allows the unit to run noticeably cooler, especially during extended sessions.
The LCD bezel has been polished to look its best.
We have cleaned the unit thoroughly inside and out. Even the knobs are clean, with none of the greasy buildup often seen on Viruses from this era.
There are some minor blemishes in the finish around the LFO2 Pan LED (see photo 5). There are some blemishes and imperfections in the rubberized wood sides from handling and normal use (see photos 9 and 13). There are a small number of other minor imperfections in the finish, but overall, this is a very clean Virus C. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.

Between the excellent cosmetics and all the restoration and maintenance work done, this Virus C is very well prepared for its next life.
