Sold: Custom Access Virus C Desktop with all new tact switches, a custom LUX PMVA display, custom walnut wood sides, and other upgrades to restore this unit to like-new condition. We're really happy with how this one came out.

All tact switches have been replaced with new brand-name tact switches rated for 3 million clicks. They are soft-touch switches that function and feel like the originals.
The twin 220uF 25V power regulator capacitors and the 100uF 25V power supply filter capacitor have been replaced with new KEMET and Panasonic capacitors. This update addresses the most common point of failure on the Virus B and C series and will help keep this unit functioning properly well into the future.
A new power switch has been installed, eliminating another common failure point on the Virus desktop series.
A new Energizer CR2032 lithium battery has been installed, so you should not need to replace the battery for ~10 years.
Includes a brand-new high-quality 9V 2.0A power supply. While the Virus B and C were originally shipped with 12V adapters, We now recommend and ship 9V 2.0A adapters with all Virus B and C units. They allow the power regulator to run noticeably cooler, resulting in more stable operation during extended sessions.
The synth has been cleaned thoroughly inside and out, including the knobs. There is no sticky residue or buildup commonly seen on Virus units from this era.
Custom walnut wood side panels with a satin finish replace the original rubberized side panels and give the synth a refined look. Note that I am a synth tech, not a woodworker. While these custom sides look great overall, the left panel is slightly more rounded on the front than the right panel. It's hardly noticeable, but I wanted to mention it for full disclosure. We still have the original side panels and would be happy to install them at the buyer's request. BUYER OPTED FOR ORIGINAL SIDES / PHOTOS ATTACHED.
Custom LUX PMVA display designed for improved readability at desktop viewing angles. The display area is larger than the original and looks its best when viewed at approximately a 45-degree angle. Note: The LUX PMVA display can exhibit v-sync artifacts, especially when the two knobs below the display are used. In our opinion, the improved viewing angle, clarity, and size are worth the tradeoff.
There are a number of cosmetic imperfections. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition. Overall, the synth looks fantastic, but there are a few blemishes in the finish, especially on the front and rear of the chassis.

With all the custom upgrades and restoration work completed, this Virus C is well prepared for its next life.
