SOLD: Access Virus B Desktop digital synthesizer in excellent condition. We've made extensive efforts to restore this unit to "like-new" functional condition, including a full recap. This is among the nicest Virus B desktops you will find available in 2026.

Details below:

All caps on the main board and panel boards have been replaced with modern equivalents. At ~27 years old, we are making full recaps standard procedure on all Virus Bs going forward.
All 30 tact switches have been replaced with high-quality, brand-name tacts rated for 1 million clicks. All are perfect and responsive, like new.
All pots are smooth and work flawlessly. These are generally tighter, the classic Virus feel.
The display has been replaced with a new, modern equivalent to the OEM display w/ OEM colors. We sell these separately as drop-in kits for anyone who needs a Virus B display.
Installed a new power switch to ensure trouble-free use over the long term.
The battery has been replaced with a new Energizer CR2032 lithium cell. You should not need to replace the battery for ~10 years.
Updated to the latest OS (4.9).
The unit has been cleaned thoroughly inside and out. Even the knobs have been cleaned and look new. No white or greasy buildup like you see on many Viruses from this era.
Sale includes a new high-quality 9V 2.0A power supply. We are now recommending 9V power supplies for the B and C series. The 12V supplies generate too much heat.
There are a number of minor imperfections in the finish. Please examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to capture the condition.

As always, we have a deep love for all things Virus and have really poured our hearts into this one. With the full recap, all new tacts, new display, new battery, new power switch, and new PSU, along with the rest of the maintenance work done, it is well prepared for a second life with its new owner.
