Access Virus B Desktop, All New Tacts, Power Filter Cap, Battery + PSU, OS 4.9

For sale: Access Virus B Desktop digital synthesizer in excellent condition for its age. We've made extensive efforts to restore this unit to like-new functional condition. There are some minor cosmetic imperfections, but overall this iconic synth is in excellent working order and ready to go. Details below:

 All 30 tact switches have been replaced with high-quality brand-name tacts rated for one million clicks. All are perfect and responsive, like new. We forgot to photograph before reassembling this time 🤦, but rest assured every tact has been replaced.
All pots work flawlessly. No need to replace any.
The original Nichicon power supply filter capacitor in this unit was replaced with a new Panasonic EEU-FR1E101. The Panasonic's high ripple current handling and low ESR minimize heat and ensure exceptional reliability and performance for all downstream components in this B Desktop.
The battery has been replaced with a new Energizer 2032 lithium-ion. You shouldn't need to replace it for ~10 years.
Updated to the latest OS (4.9).
The unit has been cleaned thoroughly inside and out. Even the knobs have been cleaned and look new. No white, funky buildup like you often see on Viruses from this era.
Sale includes a new high-quality power supply rated at 12V 3.0A (more than enough to power the unit, so the PSU runs cool). This power supply has a 14mm tip length with a 2.1mm inner tip diameter, meaning it won't reset the unit when wiggled.
 The wood sides on this unit are a little rougher than usual. Please review photos 9, 13, 22, 23, 24, and 25 carefully. We touched them up where possible, but there’s only so much you can do with a pair in this condition.
 There are a few small blemishes in the finish and one mark on one of the buttons. Overall appearance is clean, but we wanted to fully disclose. Please see photos 17, 19, 20, & 21. There may be another very minor mark or two we missed. Please examine all photos carefully, as we did our best to capture the condition accurately.

Note: this Virus B is a brighter red than normal. It looks great, but yes, it's brighter than usual for the B series. Unsure if they just used a different shade of red for this one.

As always, we have a deep love for all things Virus and worked hard to bring this unit back to perfect functional condition. With all new tacts and the other restoration work done, it's well-prepared for its second life.
