For sale: Access Virus TI2 Polar synthesizer in perfect working order and very good cosmetic condition. This is a rescued TI2, reborn and ready to go back out into the world to make music where it belongs. We love Virus synths, but we especially love the rescues. This is a single-owner unit from a later production run that had some interesting modifications and a burned keyboard. We returned it to its OEM factory state and cleaned everything up along the way. While imperfect, this is still a gloriously beautiful TI2 Polar in perfect working condition.

Details below:
The unit has been fully tested and is working as intended.
We installed a new Energizer CR2032 lithium cell. You should not need to worry about the battery for ~10 years.
We updated the unit to OS 5.1.7.
We replaced the Transpose Up/Down tact switches. The previous owner had installed a custom rocker board here. We returned it to its OEM factory state.
We replaced the bent Filter Envelope pot (see photo 21).
We replaced the damaged / burned white keys with a freshly cleaned set of nice white keys (see photo 22).
We removed corrosion from inside the faceplate around the LCD bezel and along the bottom edge. The areas were then sealed with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel so it will not reappear (see photo 20).
We thoroughly cleaned the unit inside and out. Every piece has been cleaned by hand.
There are several small nicks and tiny dark spots in the finish. There are also marks on the side panels and some staining of some kind on the right side panel. The knobs show some wear in close-up photos, but this is not visible to the naked eye during normal use (we did not notice it until examining the photos). There is also a very minor scratch on the LCD bezel that we could not buff out or photograph, but we wanted to fully disclose it. The bezel still looks great (see photo 16). Please see photos 24-30 and examine all photos carefully, as we have done our best to document the condition.
The Virus TI2 is a monster of a polyphonic, multitimbral analog-modeling synth. With dual DSP processors, 64 waveforms, 100 wavetables, two filters, three LFOs, an advanced modulation matrix, and a deep suite of effects, the sonic possibilities are virtually endless. The TI2 offers up to 110 voices of polyphony and is 16-part multitimbral, with three stereo analog outputs plus audio streaming over USB via the Total Integration plugin. On supported systems, three independent stereo pairs can appear directly within your DAW, allowing individual Virus parts to be processed with EQ, compression, effects, automation, and third-party plugins as part of your normal mixing workflow. The three analog stereo outputs may also be used simultaneously, providing up to six stereo output pairs across USB and the analog outputs in Multi Mode.
Mac and Windows 11 users, please do your homework. The native Total Integration suite requires a supported operating system, DAW, driver, and plugin configuration. Windows 11 users are reporting workarounds by disabling the new digital signing requirements. Others have no issues. Works perfectly in Windows 10. The included USB cable may also be used with Virux or other plugin-based apps with modern USB drivers for the TI series. Please verify compatibility with your intended setup before purchasing.
