Nichicon, a top-tier Japanese brand, is renowned for its low impedance and long lifespan, providing cleaner and more stable power to all downstream components. Its high ripple current handling and low ESR minimize heat, ensuring exceptional reliability and performance for this beautiful B Desktop.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"product_notice positive\"\u003e Put a new Energizer Lithium 2032 in it, so you shouldn't need to replace the battery for the next 10-15 years.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"product_notice positive\"\u003e Includes a brand-new high quality power supply that runs at 12v 3.0 amps (more than enough, meaning it will run cool). We have no concerns about it. Down the road, if needed, recommend replacing with a red LUX PMVA.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"product_notice positive\"\u003e This unit is running OS 4.9, which is more rare for a Desktop B. It's either a late run (possible, but cannot confirm), or someone upgraded the eeprom along the way. 4.9 did not add any new features, but it streamlined the delay and reverb effects for better utilization of DSP, as well as tightened up midi-arp sync. If you plan to use multi-mode a lot, then we recommend opting for a unit running 4.9.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"product_notice positive\"\u003e The user RAM banks A and B have NOT been reset to factory settings. This synth started its life in Europe and ended up in California. I'm confident the patches in there are quite a bit more interesting than the factory sounds, which btw, are of course still available in the ROM banks. This trace was responsible for the LED lights for Filter 1 LP, Filter 2 LP \u0026amp; BP, and Filter Routing Ser 4 \u0026amp; Ser 6. We repaired this with a jump that's secured by UV resin and all lights work perfectly, thus, this is a solid repair that's going to last. Regardless, it's awesome. You shouldn't ever have to worry about replacing any pots on this unit (so long as you use them responsibly). Note, the C screens don't photograph as well because they can be adjusted from red on black to black on red. I have left as red on black (the default look). I have no concerns about it. You can still use a standard mic and run it through the inputs on the back to use the vocoder just fine (and at a much higher quality than the gooseneck mic anyway).
